Forms and Applications One of the missions of the Water Patrol is to regulate the uses of the lakes and rivers of the county to assure that the public is not endangered. The Water Patrol requires permits for some activities, including temporary structures and special events. Rental boat operators must fill out an application and submit their boats for inspection. Charter Boats must also be inspected before they can carry passengers. The Hennepin Water Patrol issues the permits required for a variety of water related activities.
