Fast Water Rescue Equipment

Fast Water rescue is one of the most dangerous operations the Water Patrol performs. Usually there are underwater hazards and there are always unpredictable currents, which can make the rescuer a victim.

The Water Patrol Fast Water Rescue Team uses a variety of specialized equipment.

  1. Cold water rescue suit
  2. Search and Rescue Floatation Device (SAR-PFD)
  3. Balaclava to retain body heat
  4. Karabiners used to quickly connect lines
  5. Safety boots offer protection against injury
  6. Safety Goggles
  7. Various flashlights
  8. Various rescue lines
  9. Gear bag (each team member carries this gear at all times)
  10. Static Line
  11. Safety Helmet
