The following are actual images from training exercises. The
image on the left is of a simulated body, and not a real victim. The image on
the left is of an actual sunken boat in Lake Minnetonka.
Notice the shadow to the left of the simulated victim.
This is a key that tells the operator that the image is real and not a ghost
image
In the image above, the shadow is very distinct. Operators
can tell that the image is of an open bow boat. The indistinct features
towards the stern (lower portion on the image) indicates there was a fire
onboard before it sank.
